Actor Ian Smith heading back to Ramsay Street

Actor Ian Smith is one of the longest serving cast members on Channel 5 show Neighbours

Neighbours favourite Harold Bishop is returning to the Channel 5 soap.

Actor Ian Smith, 70, left the show in March 2008 after playing the loveable granddad for almost 20 years.

Harold went to travel the world with Valda Sheergold, played by Joan Sydney.

And residents in Ramsay Street are shocked to find out why he's come back.

The scenes will air from 15 September.
