Presenter says he triumphed in karaoke challenge

Denise Van Outen failed to beat Ben Shephard at karaoke

Ben Shephard has revealed that he trounced Denise Van Outen in a karaoke challenge, despite the fact she's a professional vocalist.

The TV presenter's win came after he dared Denise to a digital sing-off while rehearsing for Who Dares Sings!

‘You don’t have to be the best singer to do really well, as I proved when I destroyed her,’ Ben says.

‘The news is, Denise can’t sing.’

But West End star Denise is quick to explain she lost because of the way the computer scores vocalists.

‘I’m a trained singer, but you lose points for any Mariah Carey-style vocal gymnastics,’ she tells We love Telly.

‘It makes it very difficult.’
